Who we are
Davis Porta Pros started because one operator got tired of waiting for regional chains to answer the phone. We're based in Davis and we stay here. That means when your construction crew needs a standard porta potty rental at 6 a.m. on a Tuesday, we answer it Tuesday morning, not Thursday. We run the same trucks every day, know the local contractors by name, and understand the specific constraints of Davis job sites, the UC Davis campus layouts, the downtown retrofit challenges, the agricultural work south of town. Our service area stretches to El Macero, 4.5 miles east, and westward to Winters, 14.8 miles away, but Davis is home.
Every rental includes weekly service under the ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 baseline interval for portable sanitation. A standard unit holds 60 to 70 gallons and sits about 44 by 48 inches on the ground. We deliver, service, and haul away. If you need something different, an ADA accessible porta potty that meets ADA Standards section 213.2, a deluxe flushable unit, or a full restroom trailer with running water, we carry it.
What we rent
The core fleet is standard portable toilets for construction, events and demolition. We also handle septic pumping service for residential tanks, which typically need pumping every 3 to 5 years depending on tank size and household size. For larger projects, we deliver roll-off dumpster rental in sizes that handle renovation debris, and storage container rental for tools and materials that don't fit a dumpster. Temporary fence rental protects job sites and crowd areas. Handwashing station rental meets OSHA 1926.51(f)(1) requirements where crews apply paints, coatings or herbicides.
A restroom trailer runs on its own, with sinks, toilets and water heat. It's rented by the day, week, weekend or month. Emergency porta potty rental is available same-day if you call before noon. We also rent holding tanks for temporary installations where a septic line isn't practical. For Davis events and outdoor work, we know the permit pathways and can point you toward the right city contacts.

How to work with us
Call or fill out a quote request on our site. Tell us what you're building, how many people you're expecting, how long the job runs and where it is in Davis. We'll suggest the right unit count and rental term. OSHA portable toilet requirements depend on your crew size, sites with 20 workers or fewer need 1 toilet facility under OSHA 1926.51(c), but the math changes fast as you scale up. We size the order and arrange a delivery window that works for you. Payment is due at pickup unless you're a repeat customer. We handle the rest: placement, weekly service, and removal.
How many units do I need for a construction site?
A site with 20 workers needs 1 toilet facility under OSHA 1926.51(c). Once you hit 21 workers, the rule steps up: 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers. Call us with your headcount and we'll spec the correct number.
Do you service on weekends?
Yes. Weekend service costs more and is scheduled in advance. Call early in the week if you know you'll need it.
Can you deliver to UC Davis?
We deliver to UC Davis and have experience with campus permitting. Confirm the specific building and staging area with your project manager and we'll coordinate placement and power if needed.
What's included in weekly service?
We pump the holding tank, refresh the hand sanitizer, restock toilet paper, and check the floor condition. If a unit is damaged or malfunctioning we swap it for a clean one. Service is included in all standard rentals.
Do you rent portable sinks or handwashing stations?
Yes, and they're required on sites where workers handle paints, coatings or herbicides under OSHA 1926.51(f)(1). We stock portable sink rental that runs on a tank, no water line needed, and we deliver with soap and towels per 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2).
